How to Book a Nantucket Vacation Rental
Once we have sent you a selection of Nantucket vacation rentals based on your criteria, contact your rental agent to book the best property for your needs. The agent will confirm that the Nantucket vacation rental property is still available for the time period you wish and will call you to confirm. The agent then prepares the lease and sends it to you, by mail or e-mail, for your signature.
Nantucket Vacation Rental Leases
Outlines the terms of the Nantucket vacation rental. Please read the lease carefully as it is a legally binding agreement. We require that the signed lease is received by our office within 10 days of the confirmed booking with ½ of the total rent. The balance of the rent as well as the security deposit are due one month prior to your arrival. We will send you a written payment reminder a few weeks before the payments are due on your Nantucket vacation rental. Please be advised, a $50 processing fee will apply to each lease.
The Security Deposit
Is held by your Nantucket vacation rental property owner who has up to 60 days from the end date of your tenancy to return the deposit to you. There may be deductions from the security deposit which include long distance phone calls, cost of any damage caused and any excessive cleaning cost. Renters leaving homes in the condition in which they were found will generally receive the security deposit back in full.
Booking Last Minute Nantucket Vacation Rentals
If you book a Nantucket vacation rental less than 30 days prior to arrival, full payment is required by certified or bank check or credit card. We take Visa and MasterCard and there is a 2.2% processing fee.
Cancellation Policy
If it becomes necessary to cancel your Nantucket vacation rental, it is required that you notify your agent in writing by certified mail. You are responsible for all of the payments under the lease, less a 15% cancellation fee. If we are able to re-rent your time period, then we will refund your rent on a pro-rated basis. This becomes more difficult the closer we get to your rental period. If the property is re-rented for a lesser amount, the refund will be adjusted accordingly.
Other Nantucket Vacation Rental Details
No pets or smoking permitted in most of the rental houses. Saturday is the usual turnover day but we handle some properties that turn over on Friday and Sunday as well. Check in time is 3:00 PM and check out time is 10:00 AM.
